OUR STORY

It all began at 1425 Hawthorne Drive in Waterloo, Iowa….

Americans love popcorn! Statics show that 84% of Americans eat popcorn, with the average person consuming 68 quarts of popcorn annually! This story was true for my family growing up as we would gather every Sunday evening at my Grandparent’s home at 1425 Hawthorne Drive for family fun. My grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and friends would love to gather around the television set to enjoy Lawrence Welk, while my cousins, my siblings and I would be entertained by the Wonderful World of Disney!

Our weekly pastime would always be highlighted by consuming Grandpa Earl’s famous popcorn. He would get his EZ popcorn popper- with its black kettle and red handle- out and pup up several roasting pans full of popcorn for us all to enjoy.

This family tradition sparked in me a love for popcorn and through the years has compelled me to carry on this same tradition of pleasing my family and friends with grandpa’s traditional popcorn, lovingly created in the nostalgic EZ popper!
